.potx file is a PowerPoint 2007 template.
Currently only PowerPoint 2007 and PowerPoint 2010 use this file type. Previous PowerPoint
versions use .pot file type.
To break password protected PowerPoint 2007 template (.potx file) you can use
PowerPoint
Password program. PowerPoint
Password recovers all PowerPoint password types and supports all
PowerPoint versions (including PowerPoint 2007/2010).
Possible password types:
Password to open
Password to modify
PowerPoint document may contain a VBA project inside. To
recover password-protected VBA project you should use
VBA Password program.
